And what will I do?

There are just five stages to follow.

1. Initial Briefing: You will have a meeting with your group and your award leader and discuss what you will be doing, what you plan to achieve and how/when you will do it.

2. Training: You will undertake some training involving teamwork, navigation, camp craft, nutrition, country code and emergency procedures. You will also take part in many practice ventures.

3. Administration: Each person will need to complete a route card for each day, and various copies for others. For wild country, you will need to complete a Green Form, and for ventures abroad you will need a Blue Form. You will each be required to carry a safety card.

4. Expedition: You will go and do your expedition!

5. Debrief: This will be another meeting between your group and your award leader and your assessor to discuss what you have done and sign your book.
